Chosen Soundtracks For "Inner Demon"

This soundtrack is called music box where I originally found on a copyright free site but had troubles downloading the file to I manage to find the same music on YouTube with a picture whilst the audio plays. We felt the music links the idea of Psychosocial Horror with a creepy ghost presents. The music box stereotypically links to children or a young girl stereotypically linking to the genre of horror as its known that horror movies use the female traits as the victim. This is what we want the audience to feel the idea of the protagonist being vulnerable and alone, creating tension and an atmosphere.

Ambient Sound-

This heartbeat sound I found from YouTube as it was effective and linked to the certain shot. We felt it creates impact and importance to the narrative, making the audience question whether the protagonist is alright. This makes them see the impact that the antagonist has on the protagonist, showing it has power and control over the main character. This links to a horror and the idea of the audience becoming aware that the antagonist is danger.

We decided to use certain whispers from "You go down to the woods today" tune, however we wanted to put together our own soundtrack so decided to use the sound only in certain sections to create impact and effect for the audience. Although the music had risks of making the opening scene look like a trailer we felt it connected with our genre and the conventions of a supernatural horror opening due to the high and low pitches building tension throughout.
