Elimination Of Location 4/ Shots From Location 4-Comparing Filters
When looking at our footage of the location 4 we both decided it doesn't link to the narrative or the convention of our opening film. We agreed that the footage we took has a different filter, the first shots are dark blue. This links to horror and the idea of dark and tension building for the audience. The footage of location 4 was to bright and change the mood and atmosphere of a horror genre, it looked more cheerful and happy for the matching conventions. Instead we will shoot new shots that link to the genre and narrative to make it a successful opening film. When we tried to put a filter on the shots it made it look unrealistic and create little impact so we didn't want to lower the standards.
Blue Dark Filter-One of many shots we are using- Scary mood, Links to conventions.
One of the elimination shots- Light filter, unrealistic, happy mood not scary.
